Germany plans to reduce federal funding for Ukrainian refugees by half in 2024. According to Reuters, Berlin has informed the regions that a maximum of €1.7 billion will be allocated for refugee support next year. In 2023, €3.75 billion was allocated for these expenses. The German federal government also plans to cancel its contribution to the expenses for the care and integration of Ukrainian refugees.
