The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has uncovered another scheme in Odessa involving tax dodgers, which included fraudulent marriages with individuals with disabilities. A local scammer has been arrested for offering married men the opportunity to avoid mobilization by arranging fake disabilities for their wives. Afterward, these men could leave the country as accompanying persons for their relatives. The criminal also helped unmarried clients to enter into fraudulent marriages with women who had disabilities, promising them an expedited marriage registration process. The price for these services ranged from $3,000 to $12,500, depending on the urgency of departure and the method of escape.
