Therapist Warns of Dangerous Online ‘Death Groups’ Influencing Children to Commit Suicide

A therapist warns that someone or a group of people can encourage children to commit suicide. There are ‘death groups’ in social media that constantly exist on the internet, migrating from one social network to another. In these groups, children receive alleged ‘support and understanding’ in the virtual world. Along with that, they are subjected to psychological manipulation that pushes them towards suicide.

Parents should be alarmed by the following signs: sudden withdrawal and reluctance to communicate, or conversely, sudden and unexpected cheerfulness that is not characteristic of a teenager, sleep disturbances, refusal to eat, constant talk about death, saying goodbye, and giving away their favorite belongings.
